2 Enter Your Items Online

 Step 2: ENTER YOUR ITEMS

You can sign in to your account
HERE using your consignor # and password. Once you are signed in, you will be able to:

 

  • Select a drop off appointment : Each consignor is required to choose a time to drop off their SOLD items after the the online event closes.
  • Enter the items you want to consign : Click on "Activities Menu",  “Work with Consigned Inventory”, then “Active inventory”.  You can then choose the device you are using to enter your items (mobile or laptop) and whether you'd like to manually enter your items or use the voice entry system. If you choose to use the voice entry system, please read instructions provided.

 

VERY IMPORTANT : The deadline to enter your items into the online inventory is Sat, Nov 7th @ 11:59pm. After the time the system will be locked and no changes can be made.

 

Please CAREFULLY INSPECT YOUR ITEMS BEFORE YOU ENTER THEM TO SELL. Always keep cleanliness and quality at the forefront.  Fall/Winter clothing will be most popular and should be entered first, but all seasons of clothing will be accepted.  Please remember: Items should be in EXCELLENT condition - If it’s not clean, complete, in working order (with batteries if applicable), or without flaws, DO NOT list it in the sale .  Please inspect your items carefully, as it will be more important than ever since we will not have our usual drop-off/check-in process.  Put yourself in the buyer’s position.  


Instructions for Entering Items:

 

  • Category : Choose from the toggle menu the category that best represents your item. Please select the one that best matches what you are bringing. This is especially important during this online event so that shoppers can find your items.

 

  • Size : Choose a NUMERICAL size for clothing and shoes (choose “leave blank” for toys, baby equipment, books, etc).There is a difference between baby, toddler, and big kid shoes - for example - an infant size 3 is not the same as a big kid size 3.  Details are important because people will be searching for specific sizes online - make sure your item comes up in their search!

 

  • Description Line : Enter a detailed description of the item including the brand, color, and type of item (ex. Old Navy purple butterfly short sleeved shirt, or Fisher Price Little People School Bus). The better description you include on your tag, the more it will show up on searches of interested shoppers.

 

  • Price : Items must be priced for at least $2 and prices must be in 50¢ increments .  For clothing and books, the max # of items you can sell as a set is 2 . We know it is hard not to be sentimental when pricing your items, but please try to be realistic. Ask yourself, "What would I be willing to pay for this item?"  and be sure to consider what a customer could buy it for new. For additional pricing recommendations see our FAQ  page. 

 

  • Check to discount : select this box if you would like the item to be discounted during the discount period.  We highly recommend discounting your items.  Much of our inventory is already sold by the discount day, but discounting your items ensures that items you may have overpriced will sell. If you do not check this box, the item will remain full price during the duration of the event.


NEW ADDITIONS TO THE INVENTORY ENTRY SCREEN: Uploading photos and marking the item as "ready for online sale".


  • Uploading a photo - Photo uploading is available on both the mobile item entry page and the PC/Laptop item entry page. A photo can be uploaded as each new item is being entered, or the item can be edited and photos can be uploaded for it. There is a small "Upload Photos" control near the area where discount is specified.
  • You are only allowed to upload 1 photo (5MB or less) per item, so as a workaround you can make a collage of two views if necessary.
  • NO STOCK PHOTOS - you must photograph actual item, even if assembly is required so shoppers will see the actual item they are considering.  Packaged items such as puzzles and games may remain in the box for photographing, as long as the they are complete! 
  • If items are already in Ziploc bags (from previous sales for example), remove items from the bags for photographing.  Offering a clear view will increase your chance of selling the item.  Always keep a buyer’s perspective!
  • Try to use natural light and avoid using a flash which can distort colors.
  • A white background for your item is best.



  • Mark item "Ready for Online Sale"
  • When you have entered all the details of an item and uploaded a photo, you'll need to check the box to mark the item as "ready for online sale". This is how you let us know that this item is ready for export to our shopify store.
  • You have the ability to check and un-check the box to mark an item ready for online sale as often as you wish UNTIL the final inventory deadline on Nov 7th at 11:59pm. After this time, you can no longer edit the item.
  • A lock icon will appear on your inventory once your items have been exported to our Shopify store.


 

  • Returning Consignors Only :  if you have unsold items from a previous event, you can transfer these to your active inventory.  Simply click on the link in the left column to activate items from past sales. Check the boxes for the items you wish to sell in the current event and click “Make selected inventory active”. 


 

Additional Tips :   
 

  • Please double & triple check for duplicate entries in your online inventory.  Make sure there is only one entry per item or it will create a great deal of confusion in our online store!


  • If you’re entering all your tags in one sitting, it is best to sort your items by category and size .  This will make entering your info on the tags much quicker b/c the category and size will remain the same from one item to the next.

 

  • If this is an electronic item (DVDs, video games, etc) consider including in the description "Great working condition". If your item is a game, puzzle, craft kit, etc, consider including a note to verify that all pieces are included. This helps a shopper have confidence in buying the item.
